Honeyindex ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Plain language, no legal-speak fog.

What we collect

We collect minimal data, only what's needed to run the site.

  • Email addresses — when you sign up for the newsletter, join the Pro waitlist, submit a project, or contact us.
  • Submission data — project info you provide when submitting a listing.
  • Analytics data — page views, referrers, country (anonymized via our analytics provider). We do not use Google Analytics.
  • Account data — if/when you create a Pro account, your email and subscription status.

We do not collect: phone numbers, addresses, payment cards (handled by Stripe), or anything we don't actually need.

How we use it

  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to
  • To notify you about submission status
  • To respond to your contact messages
  • To improve the site (aggregate analytics only)
  • To process Pro subscriptions (via Stripe)

We do not sell your data. We do not share your email with advertisers or partners.

Honeyindex uses minimal cookies. Essential cookies for site functionality (login state, form submissions), and one analytics cookie that does not track you across other websites. We do not use ad tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California), you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of your data
  • Request correction of your data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Unsubscribe from newsletters (link in every email)
  • Opt out of data processing

FTC Disclosure: Some links on Honeyindex are affiliate links. This means if you click a link and purchase a product, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Sponsored content

Honeyindex accepts sponsored content. All sponsored content is clearly labeled as "Sponsored" at the top of the article or near the placement. Featured listings carry a "Featured" badge. Banner ads are labeled "Sponsored." We never mix paid placement with editorial coverage without disclosure.

Children's privacy

Honeyindex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, email us at privacy@honeyindex.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter and a notice on this page. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
