By using Honeyindex.com ("the site," "we," "us," "our"), you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language to be clear and fair. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. About the directory content

Honeyindex curates information about AI projects, models, agents, products, and tools. All listings are provided for informational purposes only and represent our editorial collection — not endorsements, recommendations, or guarantees of any kind.

We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, security, or fitness of any listed project for any particular purpose. Project information may be outdated, incomplete, or misleading by the time you read it. You are responsible for your own research before using, purchasing, or relying on any listed product or service.

2. AI responsibility and due diligence

AI products listed on Honeyindex may have significant capabilities, limitations, and risks. By using this directory, you acknowledge that:

• You should research every product before using it. Read the developer's privacy policy, terms, security documentation, and any third-party reviews before trusting any AI product with sensitive data or critical decisions.
• Use AI responsibly. Be thoughtful about what you share with any AI system. Don't share confidential business information, personal identifying information of others, medical records, legal documents, or financial details unless you've verified the AI provider's security practices and have appropriate authorization.
• AI outputs can be wrong. AI systems can produce inaccurate, biased, fabricated, or misleading outputs. Always verify AI-generated information against authoritative sources before acting on it, especially for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
• Honeyindex is not your AI safety advisor. Inclusion of a product in the directory is not an endorsement of its safety, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. We don't have the resources to deeply security-audit every listed project.

We strongly recommend reviewing reputable resources on AI safety and responsible use, including official guidance from the AI providers themselves and from organizations like NIST and the OECD.

3. Listing duration and removal policy

We list projects as long as they remain active, legitimate, and non-malicious. Listings are not permanent. We may modify, restrict, or remove a listing at our sole discretion at any time, for any of the following reasons:

• The project becomes inactive, abandoned, or its website goes offline for an extended period
• The project's domain expires or is sold to an unrelated party
• The project, its developer, or its infrastructure is compromised or hacked
• The project starts exhibiting malicious behavior (malware, phishing, spam, dark patterns)
• The project is reported by users or external researchers as a scam, fraud, or deceptive
• The project violates applicable laws (e.g. operates without required licenses, deceptive marketing)
• The project significantly misrepresents its capabilities or features
• The project's leadership or owners change in a way that materially alters its nature
• The project's terms of use change to materially harm users
• Other circumstances that, in our reasonable editorial judgment, warrant removal

We'll generally try to reach the listed contact email before removing a paid or featured listing, but we are under no obligation to do so for free standard listings or in cases where we believe a removal protects users from harm.

Removed listings will not receive refunds for past paid services (e.g. priority submissions, featured listings, sponsored content) that have already been delivered.

4. Your use of the site

You agree to:

• Use the site only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to scrape, copy, or republish the directory in bulk without written permission
• Not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass security, or access non-public data
• Provide accurate, truthful information if you submit a project or contact us
• Respect the intellectual property of Honeyindex and listed projects

We reserve the right to remove any submission, ban any user, or terminate any account for violations of these terms at our sole discretion.

5. Submissions

When you submit a project, you grant Honeyindex a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, edit, display, and promote that listing on the site, in our newsletter, and on social media. You retain ownership of all underlying intellectual property.

By submitting, you confirm that:

• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You have the right to share this information about the project
• The project complies with applicable laws and doesn't promote illegal activity
• You accept the removal conditions in Section 3
• You accept that we may edit your listing copy for clarity, length, or accuracy

6. Pro subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are billed via Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Authorize recurring charges at the stated price
• Maintain a valid payment method on file
• Pay all applicable taxes

You may cancel anytime from your account or by emailing billing@honeyindex.com. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period.

Refunds may be granted at our discretion for accidental purchases or unresolved technical issues, within 7 days of the original charge. Email billing@honeyindex.com.

7. Priority submissions and other paid services

Priority submissions ($49 one-time): We commit to reviewing and publishing (or formally declining) within 24 hours of payment. If we fail to meet this SLA, we'll refund the full amount. If we publish on time, the payment is non-refundable.

Featured listings and banner ads: Billed monthly via Stripe. Cancel anytime from your account or by email. No refunds for partial months.

Sponsored content: Custom-quoted via the contact form. Terms specific to each engagement are set at agreement time.

8. Sponsored content & affiliate links

Honeyindex includes sponsored content (clearly marked) and affiliate links (disclosed in our affiliate disclosure). Sponsored placement does not influence editorial coverage of unrelated projects.

9. Intellectual property

The Honeyindex name, logo, design, content, and code are owned by Honeyindex unless otherwise credited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. Quoting individual listings with attribution and a link back is fine.

Project logos, names, and trademarks displayed in listings remain the property of their respective owners. We display them for editorial purposes under fair use.

10. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any losses, damages, or harms arising from:

• Your use of the site or reliance on any directory content
• Your use of any listed product or service
• The accuracy or completeness of any listing
• Third-party content, including affiliate-linked sites, sponsored posts, or external links
• Any decisions made based on information from this site

Honeyindex is not affiliated with any listed project unless explicitly stated. Inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Honeyindex's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is less. If you haven't paid us anything, our maximum liability is $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Honeyindex and its operators from any claim arising from your violation of these terms, your submissions, or your use of the site or any listed product or service.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter and a notice on this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Honeyindex operates. Disputes will be resolved in those courts.
